Today, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) achieved a significant milestone in the Gaganyaan mission. ISRO initiated the automatic launch sequence at 8:30 AM IST. However, due to an anomaly, the sequence was halted. ISRO chief S Somanath stated that the issue was promptly identified. Subsequently, the mission successfully took off at 10 AM IST on October 21. The Crew Escape System effectively detached the Crew Module from the launch vehicle. Following a parachute-assisted descent, it safely landed in the Bay of Bengal. This achievement marks India's entry into the select group of nations capable of independently launching crewed spacecraft.
